Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Senior Manager, Global Portfolio
Communications for Innovative Medicine, who will be responsible for
working across dynamic business and communications teams to develop
compelling messaging, content and activation plans to elevate the
reputation of Johnson & Johnson as a worldwide leader in the
discovery, development and delivery of transformational medicines.
This position has a preferred location of Raritan, NJ with
consideration given to New Brunswick, NJ. The role will work with
Communications Leaders across Therapeutic Areas, R&D,
Commercial and Supply Chain to craft portfolio-level messaging and
other communications materials and identify external opportunities
to tell an end-to-end, portfolio-level story of the Company's
innovation and impact at the patient, healthcare system and
societal levels. The individual will also partner with colleagues
at the corporate level to contribute to storytelling across
channels and via broader enterprise reputation and engagement
initiatives. The individual will also partner with the role's line
manager, the Global Communications Leader, Data Science and
Precision Medicine, to profile the Innovative Medicine sector's
efforts to advance progress toward precision medicine and leverage
artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), real-world
evidence (RWE) and digital health to drive our innovation and

Portfolio-level content creation for J&J Innovative Medicine:
Helps drive business growth and build reputation through the
development and execution of externally-facing messaging and
activation strategies (-60% of time)
- Works across the Global Portfolio Communications Leadership
Team and department to develop and execute portfolio-level
messaging and external activation plans that will drive Company
reputation
- Leads in developing a compelling Innovative Medicine portfolio
storyline, messaging documents, fact sheets and other creative
content to ensure traction and success across key audiences and
priority channels both externally and internally
- Conducts desktop research, writes, edits and consolidates
information into an effective story package to deploy across
formats and channels
- Acquires and applies insights and knowledge from internal and
external sources to build differentiated messaging, traction and
followership
- Drives outcomes and engagement by applying a measurement
approach
- Manages department's news flow program through maintenance of
team-wide editorial calendar and organization of
information-sharing sessions with key business and communications
partners
- Partners closely with Innovative Medicine colleagues (Global
Reputation & Engagement and Regional Communications and Public
Affairs leads) as well as Enterprise and Regional colleagues on key
messaging and activations
- Develops strong relationships with communication and business
leaders and acts as trusted enabler and executor of projects to
create long-term business value
- Models a continuous improvement approach to help the team stay
on the forefront of communications, change management, technology,
social and other key trends Data Science and Precision Medicine:
Communications planning and execution to advance the Company's
reputation and Data Science and Precision Medicine priorities (-20%
of time):
- Partners with Communication line leadership and the sector's
Chief Data Science Officers in R&D and Commercial to support
the development and execution of effective storytelling narratives
and communications platforms to elevate our leadership in both data
science and precision medicine
- Helps with the development of both external and internal
communications materials around major milestones and activations
tied to Data Science and Precision Medicine developments and
priorities
- Supports efforts to ensure compelling Innovative Medicine case
studies across Data Science and Precision Medicine are integrated
into enterprise messaging and communications campaigns
- Partners with colleagues to anticipate, identify and address
issues and opportunities in the data science & precision medicine
space Cross-team and COE project support to effectively engage
Regional and Top-Market Communications & Public Affairs colleagues
to advance portfolio priorities (-20% of time)
- Partners to establish effective communication standards,
processes and protocols, including through effective co-creation
with regional and key market colleagues
- Supports Center of Excellence communications projects (ex:
launch readiness and others) to ensure successful roll-out,
tracking, results and refinements
- Partners with Global Portfolio Communications VP and the team
administrative assistant to embed dissemination/documentation
standards (for communication alerts, congress plans and metrics
reports, etc.)
